Oxenhope is a compact village and civil parish in the metropolitan borough of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, sitting in the steep-sided Worth Valley on the edge of the South Pennines. It’s known for its stone-built cottages, surrounding moorland and reservoirs which make it popular with walkers, and as the terminus of the heritage Keighley and Worth Valley Railway that links the village to Keighley and nearby Haworth, often described as Brontë country.
Historically the settlement grew with 18th–19th century textile mills and the railway, and today the local economy mixes tourism, small businesses and commuter links into larger towns. Socially it has an active village life with pubs, shops and community events, while the combination of industrial heritage and upland scenery gives it a distinctive, slightly remote Yorkshire character.
