Patcham & Hollingbury

Patcham & Hollingbury (electoral ward) sits on the northern edge of Brighton and Hove, taking in the old village of Patcham and the hillier, largely residential area of Hollingbury. The ward occupies higher ground with views towards the South Downs and contains notable green spaces and heritage features such as the Iron Age earthworks at Hollingbury Camp, giving a more suburban, leafy feel than the coastal strip to the south.

Historically centred on the small village core of Patcham with its conservation interest and parish church, the area today is a mix of family housing, local shops and community facilities, with active residents’ associations and good bus links into the city.
