Turville is a small, rural parish in Buckinghamshire, tucked into the north‑facing slopes of the Chiltern Hills above the Hambleden Valley, a few miles west of High Wycombe. The settlement clusters round a long village green beneath the iconic 18th‑century Turville Windmill, with beech woodland and a network of footpaths that make it popular with walkers and photographers.
Historically agricultural and centred on a medieval church and a handful of manor houses, the community remains small and close‑knit; its economy is supported by farming, local services and countryside tourism. Turville’s picture‑postcard streets have also made it a favourite filming location, bringing occasional crews to shoot films and TV dramas and helping to preserve its much‑loved character.
