Alconbury is a small village and civil parish in Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire, lying a few miles north of Huntingdon and close to the A1 trunk road. The parish still feels largely rural, with arable farmland, hedgerows and a compact village core, though the nearby former airfield has brought significant change in recent years.
Historically agricultural, the area was shaped in the 20th century by RAF Alconbury, whose presence introduced military and international influences to the local community. More recently the redevelopment at Alconbury Weald has added new housing, jobs and amenities, while the village retains a historic church, traditional pubs and active community groups that keep a strong village character.
