Upwood is a small village and civil parish in the historic district of Huntingdonshire, within the county of Cambridgeshire in England. It sits near the fen-edge countryside to the north‑east of Ramsey, within easy reach of waterways such as the River Great Ouse, giving the area a mix of arable farmland, drainage dykes and lowland fen habitats.
Despite its modest size, Upwood has distinct local character: a medieval parish church and a long history of rural settlement, together with the more recent presence of RAF Upwood, which influenced the village through the 20th century. Today the economy is largely agricultural with many residents commuting to nearby towns, while proximity to fenland reserves like Woodwalton Fen provides popular opportunities for wildlife watching and walking and helps sustain an active village community.
