Lidlington is a small village and civil parish in Central Bedfordshire, England, set in the low clay landscape of the Marston Vale roughly between Bedford and Milton Keynes. It has a station on the Marston Vale Line and sits close to the A421, so while it has a commuter connection to larger towns it still feels distinctly rural.
The village’s character was shaped by the brickmaking heritage of the wider Marston Vale - nearby works at Stewartby and other pits left scars that are being reclaimed through the Forest of Marston Vale project - giving the area an industrial-turned-natural feel. Today Lidlington is a small community with a primary school, village hall and pub, mixing local events and village life with the practicalities of modern commuting.
