Kilkhampton is a village and civil parish in north Cornwall, a few miles inland from the Atlantic coast near Bude and close to the border with Devon. Set among rolling farmland and hedged lanes, it sits within easy reach of coastal cliffs, beaches and the South West Coast Path and is served by the main road via the A39, making it both rural and well connected.
The settlement has a long history visible in the large parish church of St James's and nearby earthworks of Penstowe Castle, reminders of its medieval past. Traditionally agricultural, the local economy now mixes farming with services, tourism and commuter links to nearby towns; socially the village keeps an active community life around the pub, school and local events, retaining a distinctly Cornish character.
