Findern is a small village and civil parish in the district of South Derbyshire, in Derbyshire, England, sitting a few miles south‑west of Derby. It occupies a tucked‑away position in a generally rural landscape of arable fields, hedgerows and small woodlands, giving it a pleasantly rural feel while remaining within easy commuting distance of the city and nearby towns.
Historically an agricultural community with medieval roots, the village retains a mix of older stone and brick houses alongside later developments and a number of listed buildings that hint at its past. Today it functions largely as a residential village with an active local community, a village hall and pub that stage events and clubs, while many residents commute for work; the local character is defined by countryside leisure, conservation of historic fabric and a quiet, village social life.
