Tiverton is a market town and civil parish in Mid Devon, Devon, sitting on the River Exe amid rolling countryside. It has a compact historic centre with a Norman motte-and-bailey at Tiverton Castle and a long industrial heritage: woollen cloth and, from the early 19th century, lace-making after John Heathcoat moved his works here.
