Leconfield is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, set in gently rolling agricultural countryside a few miles west of Beverley and to the north‑west of Hull. It has a traditional village feel with a historic parish church, a village hall and small local amenities, and sits close to the scenic undulations of the Yorkshire Wolds, making it a quiet rural base for farming and country life.
The village is probably best known for the nearby former airfield, RAF Leconfield, opened before the Second World War and later associated with search‑and‑rescue and military training; although parts of the site have been repurposed the airfield remains an important element of local history. That mix of military heritage, agriculture and easy access to larger towns gives Leconfield a distinctive, quietly rooted character for residents and visitors alike.
