Londesborough is a small village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, lying a short distance south of Market Weighton on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. The area is characterised by gently rolling chalk countryside and extensive parkland, making it popular with walkers and birdwatchers and giving a strong rural character to the settlement.
Historically the village grew up around a substantial country estate and the site of an impressive former house, and remnants of the parkland and estate architecture still shape the local landscape. Today the economy is largely agricultural and the community small and close-knit, with local life centred on traditional village institutions while the surrounding countryside supports leisure pursuits and attracts visitors interested in history and nature.
