Nafferton is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, lying a few miles between Beverley and Driffield on the fringes of the Yorkshire Wolds. It occupies mainly agricultural countryside and has a compact centre of period cottages and newer housing; the Hull–Scarborough rail line serves the village via Nafferton station, giving handy rail links to Hull and the coast.
Historically rooted in farming, the local economy still reflects arable and market gardening activity while also functioning as a commuter and service village with a primary school, pub and village hall. Community life is marked by traditional events and a strong local identity, and the surrounding lanes and rolling Wolds make it a pleasant base for walking and wildlife watching.
