Copford is a small village and civil parish on the western edge of Colchester in Essex, England, set on gently rolling agricultural countryside a few miles from the town centre. The settlement clusters around a village green and the medieval All Saints' Church, and benefits from good road links to Colchester and the wider commuter network while retaining a distinctly semi‑rural character.
The parish has medieval roots and the church shows Norman fabric with later restorations; nearby are a handful of historic houses and working farms. Much of the local economy is residential or agricultural, with many people commuting to work, and community life centres on the village hall, pub and local clubs, which keeps a strong village identity despite proximity to the town.
