Drybrook is a village and civil parish in the Forest of Dean district of Gloucestershire, England, lying on the western edge of the old royal forest between Cinderford and Mitcheldean. The setting is typically Dean - mixed woodland, rolling valleys and easy access to walking and cycling routes through the forest and towards the Wye Valley.
Historically the community grew up around ironworking, coal and quarrying, and traces of that industrial past - old pits, tramways and Victorian buildings - remain beside more recent housing. Today Drybrook combines local small‑scale industry and forestry with a commuter population, and retains an active village life with schools, sports clubs and community events that reflect its rural and industrial heritage.
