North Nibley is a small village in the district of Stroud, Gloucestershire, England, clinging to the scarp of the Cotswold Edge with wide views down into the Severn Vale. It feels characteristically rural but a fair number of residents commute to nearby towns such as Wotton-under-Edge, Bristol or Gloucester, and the village supports local agriculture, a village hall and the usual pub‑and‑walking culture that draws visitors to the area.
The area is rich in history and local colour: close to the village is the site of the 1470 Battle of Nibley Green, and the distinctive Tyndale Monument on Tyndale Hill commemorates the translator William Tyndale and provides a popular viewpoint for walkers and photographers. The combination of historic points of interest, rolling Cotswold countryside and community events gives North Nibley a strong sense of place despite its modest size.
