Catherington is a small, historic village in the district of East Hampshire, in the county of Hampshire, England. It sits on the transition from the coastal plain up towards the foothills of the South Downs, making it a pleasant mix of rural countryside and easy access to nearby urban centres such as Waterlooville and Portsmouth.
The village retains much of its traditional character, with older cottages, a parish church and a village green that reflect its long history; parts of it are considered a conservation area. Local life combines small-scale agriculture and independent businesses with a largely residential community of commuters and walkers who enjoy the surrounding lanes and bridleways, while village events and societies help keep a strong social fabric.
