Thruxton is a small village and civil parish in Test Valley, Hampshire, England, lying a few miles south of Andover. Set on chalk downland typical of the region and close to the famous River Test, it has the quiet, agricultural feel of a Hampshire countryside community.
The parish combines farming with a strong motorsport and aviation flavour: its Second World War airfield evolved into RAF Thruxton and today hosts Thruxton Circuit and a busy aerodrome, bringing regular race-day visitors and small-scale economic activity. At the same time the village keeps its historic core, including a medieval parish church, and retains a close-knit social life centred on local events and community facilities.
