Ebbsfleet Valley is an area of redevelopment on former marsh and industrial land in Dartford, Kent, England, sitting close to the River Thames between Northfleet and Swanscombe and within easy reach of London. It is anchored by Ebbsfleet International station, which gives fast rail links and helped make the valley a focus for new housing, business space and retail - nearby landmarks include the Bluewater shopping centre and the riverside town of Gravesend.
The valley has a long history beneath its brownfield surface, with prehistoric finds at Swanscombe and later industrial archaeology, and it is now being promoted as the Ebbsfleet Garden City area through major regeneration activity. The project aims to create thousands of homes, schools, parks and jobs while balancing infrastructure and social needs, so the area is a visible example of contemporary attempts to knit new communities into the Thames Estuary fringe.
