Eythorne is a village and civil parish in the district of Dover, Kent, England. It sits on the chalk country of the Kent Downs and is a short drive from the coast and the port at Dover, so it combines a quiet rural setting with ready access to larger towns and transport links.
The village retains a compact core of historic buildings, including a parish church with medieval origins and traditional cottages; during the late 19th and 20th centuries the locality felt the influence of the East Kent Coalfield, which brought mining families to nearby settlements. Today Eythorne has an active community life centred on a village hall, pubs and a primary school, with an economy rooted in agriculture, local services and commuters, and plenty of countryside footpaths popular with walkers.
