New Romney is a small historic town in the district of Folkestone and Hythe, Kent, England, sitting on the edge of the flat agricultural expanse known as Romney Marsh. Once one of the original Cinque Ports, its harbour was lost after medieval storms and the course of the River Rother changed, leaving a compact medieval centre of timber-framed buildings and a Norman church that hints at a once more maritime past.
