Holmbridge is a small village in the Holme Valley within the metropolitan borough of Kirklees in West Yorkshire, England. It sits beside the River Holme on the edge of the Pennines, a short drive from Holmfirth and within easy reach of Huddersfield, so its upland setting gives good valley views and makes it popular with walkers.
Historically the Holme Valley had a strong textile and mill presence in the 18th and 19th centuries, and Holmbridge retains a rural village character with stone-built houses, a village hall and a local pub; today it is largely residential with small businesses and many commuters to nearby towns. The village benefits from tourism drawn to Holmfirth and the surrounding countryside on the fringes of the Peak District, and there is an active community life centred on outdoor recreation and local events.
