Liversedge is a town in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, England, sitting in the heart of the Spen Valley between nearby towns such as Cleckheaton and Heckmondwike, and within easy reach of Huddersfield and Leeds. Its valley location gives a mix of terraced streets and pockets of green space on the surrounding slopes.
Historically the town was shaped by the 19th‑century textile industry and the region’s shoddy and mungo recycling trade, so much of its character comes from former mills, chapels and working‑class housing. Today Liversedge combines light industry with commuter living and a strong local community, with sports clubs, pubs and village‑style neighbourhoods preserving a distinct local identity.
