Billesdon is a small rural parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, England, set in rolling countryside to the east of Leicester and within easy reach of Market Harborough. The settlement grew up around a long‑standing parish church with medieval roots and the place name probably comes from an Old English personal name plus "dun" meaning hill; traditional stone and brick cottages, farmsteads and hedged fields characterise the landscape.
Economically the area remains largely agricultural, with arable and livestock farming prominent, though many residents now commute to nearby towns. Community life is centred on a village hall, local pubs and small businesses, with active volunteer groups, occasional village events and popular walking and cycling routes on quiet lanes and footpaths that help sustain a close-knit rural social scene.
