Colsterworth is a village and civil parish in the district of South Kesteven, in Lincolnshire, England, lying just off the A1 and a few miles south of Grantham. Set in gently rolling agricultural countryside, the village combines traditional stone cottages with more modern housing and benefits from good road links that make it a popular base for commuters to nearby towns.
Its most notable claim to fame is the close association with Sir Isaac Newton: the hamlet of Woolsthorpe-by-Colsterworth and Woolsthorpe Manor lie in the parish and attract visitors interested in the famous apple tree and Newtonian history. Locally the economy remains largely rural and agricultural, complemented by small businesses and an active village community with the kinds of clubs and amenities typical of English villages.
