Kirmington is a small village and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, England, sitting on the southern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds and close to the Humber estuary. Although it has a quiet, rural appearance, the parish is dominated by Humberside Airport, which occupies the site of the former wartime RAF Kirmington airfield.
The airport gives the village an outsized transport and employment role for its size, while surrounding arable farmland and country lanes preserve a traditional agricultural character. Local community life is typical of small Lincolnshire villages, centred on the church and village hall, with larger towns such as Scunthorpe and Grimsby within easy reach for additional services and amenities.
