Burton Latimer is a small town and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, set on the edge of rolling Northamptonshire countryside and close to the larger town of Kettering. The town sits near the course of the River Ise, and its position on main road and rail corridors makes it part commuter town, part local service centre for surrounding villages.
Historically a rural settlement that expanded with 19th- and 20th-century industry, Burton Latimer today is a mix of older streets and more recent housing, with small-scale manufacturing, engineering and local businesses still important to the economy. The community retains a village feel with churches, clubs and conservation areas, while riverside green spaces and nearby countryside offer wildlife and recreational opportunities for residents.
