Polebrook is a small rural village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, England, set in rolling arable countryside a few miles from the market town of Oundle and within easy reach of the River Nene valley. The settlement retains a compact village feel with a mix of historic stone and brick cottages, a church and community hall, and a landscape of hedged fields and walking routes that attract local ramblers and horse riders.
Its most striking modern historic note is RAF Polebrook, the Second World War airfield that brought a strong American presence in 1941–45 and is commemorated locally; earlier layers of history survive in the medieval church and surrounding earthworks. Today the local economy is largely agricultural with some small businesses and commuters to nearby towns, and village life revolves around community events, the church and village groups that help preserve its rural character.
