Wollaston is a large village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, set among the rolling agricultural countryside to the east of Wellingborough. It combines a compact historic core of older stone and brick buildings and a number of more modern residential areas, and benefits from good road and rail links via nearby towns that make it popular with commuters heading to Northampton and London.
The village retains a strong local identity with a medieval parish church, village hall, pubs, shops, schools and active sports and community groups; its local economy is a mix of small businesses, services and surrounding farming. The settlement’s growth over the last two centuries reflects the wider social changes in Northamptonshire, and many residents point to regular community events and countryside access as key parts of village life.
