Denshaw is a small village in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester, England, sitting on the moorland fringe of the Pennines within the civil parish of Saddleworth. It has a compact centre of stone cottages and former mill buildings, and is valued for its easy access to walking country and open moorland with views over the surrounding valleys.
Like much of the area it has historic links to the textile industry but today is largely residential with a handful of local businesses, pubs and community groups; many residents commute into Oldham or Manchester, while others are drawn to the quieter rural lifestyle and outdoor recreation the village offers. The result is a small, close‑knit community that still shows traces of its industrial past amid a distinctly rural character.
