Little Hulton is a suburb and electoral ward in the City of Salford, in Greater Manchester, lying to the west of Manchester and close to Worsley and Walkden. The area sits on low-lying former coalfield land and is largely residential, with a mix of post‑war council housing and more recent private developments set among pockets of green space.
Historically linked to the old Hulton estate and a strong coal‑mining past, the community retains traces of that industrial heritage alongside local shops, community centres and sports clubs. Like many post‑industrial suburbs it has faced economic and social challenges but has also seen ongoing regeneration efforts and a sense of local identity centred on grassroots groups and neighbourhood facilities.
