Barrington is a small, rural parish in Somerset, England, set among rolling farmland and hedgerow-lined lanes just outside the market town of Ilminster and within easy reach of Taunton. The landscape is typical of south Somerset, with a mix of arable fields, pastures and pockets of native woodland that give the area a quiet, pastoral feel.
Historically the village has medieval roots and retains a number of traditional stone cottages and a historic parish church, reflecting its agricultural past. Today the local economy is still largely farming-based, supplemented by residents who commute to nearby towns, and the community maintains a village hall and occasional local events that help keep village life lively and social.
