Huntspill is an electoral ward in Somerset, England, set on the edge of the low-lying Somerset Levels close to the tidal wetlands of the River Parrett and Bridgwater Bay. The flat, reclaimed landscape and network of drains and rhynes have shaped its history and settlement pattern; the area has medieval origins and a strong legacy of land drainage, flood defences and small-scale farming.
The ward is largely rural, with agriculture still prominent alongside a number of residents who commute to nearby towns such as Bridgwater and Highbridge. Local life centres on village halls, parish churches and community groups, and the nearby wetlands make it of interest to birdwatchers and naturalists; balancing conservation, water management and modest development is a recurring theme in local politics and social life.
