Misterton is a small village and civil parish in South Somerset, near the county boundary with Dorset and only a short distance from the market town of Crewkerne and within easy reach of Yeovil. Set among rolling farmland and winding lanes on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, it retains a compact core of traditional stone cottages, a parish church and a generally quiet, rural character.
Locally the economy is largely agricultural with a handful of small businesses and many residents commuting to nearby towns; historically the settlement grew from medieval farming and manor patterns and still shows that heritage in older houses and farmsteads. Community life is focused on the village hall and pub, with occasional events and clubs, while the surrounding countryside makes the area popular with walkers and anyone seeking a peaceful base in the West Country.
