Blithfield is a small, rural parish in East Staffordshire, set in rolling Staffordshire countryside beside the valley of the River Blithe. It is dominated by the historic Blithfield Hall, the long-standing seat of the Bagot family, with a parish church and estate buildings that reflect medieval and later country-house layers of history.
In the mid-20th century the creation of Blithfield Reservoir transformed part of the parish into an important wetland, prized by birdwatchers, anglers and walkers and valued for its wildlife.
