The small civil parish of Ingestre lies a few miles east of Stafford in rural Staffordshire, England. It is largely agricultural and low‑lying, set around the parkland of an historic estate and made up of scattered farms, lanes and a small residential community.
The area is dominated by Ingestre Hall, a mainly 17th‑century house long associated with the Chetwynd family, together with the adjacent St Mary's Church and several listed buildings; the house and grounds have been used at times for education, arts events and community activities. Local life is quietly village‑centred, with many people commuting to Stafford or nearby towns while the estate and historic fabric give the parish a strong sense of place.
