Cheadle West is an electoral ward in the district of Staffordshire Moorlands, in Staffordshire, covering the western part of the small market town of Cheadle and some of the surrounding countryside. Sitting on the fringe of the Peak District foothills and close to the Churnet Valley, it mixes stone-built streets and suburban estates with lanes, farms and short walks into the nearby rural landscape.
The ward has a traditionally mixed local economy - shops, small businesses and light industry alongside agricultural and former quarrying areas - and many residents commute to larger towns. Community life is centred on town facilities, grassroots clubs and parish activities, while surviving historic buildings and conservation pockets give the area a distinct local character and make its easy access to country routes a particular attraction.
