Hadleigh South is the southern ward of the market town of Hadleigh in the district of Babergh, county of Suffolk, England. It occupies slopes above the valley of the River Brett, combining a compact historic town centre with residential streets and surrounding arable countryside, and is within easy reach of Ipswich.
The area shares in Hadleigh’s medieval market and wool‑weaving past, visible in older timber‑framed buildings, and today the local economy is largely made up of independent shops, small businesses and commuters. Community life tends to be lively for a small place, with local markets, clubs and seasonal events giving the ward a strong local identity set against the quieter Suffolk landscape.
