Ewhurst is a small, mainly rural village and civil parish in the borough of Waverley in the county of Surrey, in south-east England. It sits on rolling countryside associated with the Greensand Ridge and is characterised by mixed farmland, scattered woodland and lanes lined with traditional cottages, making it popular with walkers and riders; the parish includes a compact village centre and a number of historic buildings and estates that reflect its agricultural past.
Today the local economy still has an agricultural flavour but many residents commute to nearby towns such as Guildford or to London, and there is an active village life centred on the parish church, village hall, pubs and clubs, with regular fĂȘtes and community events that sustain a strong social fabric despite its relatively quiet, rural setting; nearby Cranleigh and other local centres provide shops and services.
