Hambledon is a small village and civil parish in the borough of Waverley in Surrey, England. Set on rolling chalk downs within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it retains a rural character of narrow lanes, woodlands and pasture and lies a few miles from the market town of Godalming.
The village’s history shows in its medieval church and several listed buildings, and its economy was traditionally agricultural; today many residents commute to nearby towns or to London. Community life centres on village pubs, occasional fetes and outdoor pursuits such as riding and walking, while conservation-minded planning helps keep Hambledon largely low‑density and picturesque.
