Water Orton is a small village and civil parish in the district of North Warwickshire, in Warwickshire, England, situated a few miles east of Birmingham and close to the market town of Coleshill. Its location by the meandering River Tame and on historic north–south transport routes has given it a mix of rural character and good commuter links into the West Midlands; a railway station serves the village and roads provide straightforward access to larger towns.
Originally an agricultural settlement that expanded with the arrival of transport and light industry, the parish today is largely residential with local shops, pubs and active community organisations. Its surviving historic buildings, village events and nearby green spaces give it a distinct local identity while many residents commute regionally for work.
