Broad Town is a small village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England, set on the chalk of the Marlborough Downs a few miles west of Marlborough and within easy reach of Swindon. The parish occupies typical downland countryside with rolling chalk hills, wide views over farmland and a scattering of prehistoric barrows and other downland archaeology.
Locally it’s known for the distinctive Broad Town White Horse, a chalk hill figure, and for an active community centred on the village hall and parish church; agriculture still plays a big part in the local economy while many residents commute to nearby towns. The settlement combines historic cottages and 19th-century buildings and retains a quiet rural character with occasional village events and community groups.
