Maryburgh is a small village in the Highland area of Scotland, set on the banks of the River Conon close to the market town of Dingwall. Its riverside situation gives pleasant views across the surrounding hills towards the Cromarty Firth, and the settlement grew up in the 18th–19th centuries around riverside industry and the transport routes linking the north Highlands with Inverness.
Today Maryburgh feels like a close‑knit community with a village hall, an annual gala and a local football team, while many people commute to nearby towns for work. The village combines a rural Highland character with easy access to regional services, so the local economy mixes trades, tourism and commuter households and the place retains a strong sense of local history and community life.
