Fairlie is a small coastal village on the northern shore of the Firth of Clyde in North Ayrshire, Scotland. It has a compact harbour and promenade with pleasant views across the water to the Isle of Arran and Great Cumbrae, and the larger town of Largs is close by.
Historically the village has strong maritime and industrial links, with local employment shaped by fishing, ship-related trades and nearby energy and port activity around Hunterston. Today it mixes a quiet, residential feel with sailing and coastal recreation, active community groups and a number of residents who commute to Glasgow and other centres for work.
