Brackla East and Coychurch Lower is a ward on the northern edge of Bridgend in Wales, taking in part of the large suburban estate of Brackla together with the smaller, more rural settlement around Coychurch. The area mixes post‑war and modern housing, pockets of green fields and small business or light industrial estates, and sits close to major road links and the amenities of Bridgend town centre, making it a popular location for commuters and families.
Locally there’s a blend of community facilities, primary schools and shops serving day‑to‑day needs, while the small village side retains historic touches such as the medieval church of St Crallo. Economically it is largely residential with employment in retail, services and nearby business parks, and socially the ward reflects a mixture of long‑standing village connections and newer suburban communities.
