Llangadog is a small rural community in Carmarthenshire, Wales, set where rolling valleys meet the uplands on the western fringes of the Brecon Beacons and Cambrian hills. The village has medieval roots - its name refers to the church of St Cadog - and lies on a landscape of farmland, moor and woodland that attracts walkers and cyclists as much as it supports sheep and cattle farming.
Locally the economy and social life still centre on agriculture, small businesses and tourism, and the community is linked by the scenic Heart of Wales Line railway. A modest cluster of village facilities, a historic church and regular outdoor recreation give Llangadog a characteristic rural Welsh atmosphere while preserving a strong sense of local community.
