Gogarth Mostyn is an electoral ward in Conwy on the north Wales coast, covering parts of the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno and the residential streets that climb towards the headland. Its boundaries take in a mix of seafront terraces, family housing and the lower slopes of the Great Orme, so it feels both like a working community and a seaside neighbourhood.
The ward’s character is shaped by tourism and history: Victorian architecture and the promenade sit alongside reminders of much older activity on the headland, including the Great Orme copper mines and the small tourist attractions such as the Great Orme Tramway and Llandudno Pier. The local economy tilts towards hospitality, retail and services for visitors, while residents tend to be a mix of long‑standing locals, commuters and people involved in the seasonal tourist trade, giving the area a distinctive social and economic rhythm.
