Llandudno sits on the north coast of Conwy in Wales, curving around a horseshoe bay between the limestone headlands of the Great Orme and the Little Orme and looking out towards the mouth of the River Conwy. The town is best known as a classic Victorian seaside resort with a long promenade and pier, the cliff tramway and cable car up the Great Orme, Bronze Age copper mine remains and a resident herd of Kashmiri goats that give the headland a wild, dramatic feel.
Tourism and hospitality dominate the local economy, but Llandudno also has a year‑round community of residents and retirees and serves as a convenient base for exploring North Wales. Its well‑preserved Victorian terraces, traditional shops and seasonal events such as the popular Victorian Extravaganza keep a strong cultural identity alongside modern retail and leisure amenities.
