Llangoed is a small village on the eastern side of the Isle of Anglesey, set among rolling farmland and a short drive from the sheltered shoreline of Red Wharf Bay and the attractive historic town of Beaumaris. Its position gives easy access to the Menai Strait and the mainland, so it’s popular with walkers, birdwatchers and visitors exploring Anglesey’s varied coastline and countryside.
The village retains a strong Welsh-speaking identity and a close-knit community centred on a parish church and village hall; agriculture remains important locally while small-scale tourism and commuting to nearby centres such as Bangor help support the local economy. There are also nearby prehistoric and medieval sites across the island, making the area interesting for people keen on history as well as outdoor activities.
