Lligwy is an electoral ward on the eastern side of the Isle of Anglesey in Wales, covering a stretch of coastline and the small communities around Moelfre and Lligwy Bay. The landscape mixes sandy beaches and rocky headlands with gently rolling farmland, making it popular with walkers, birdwatchers and summer visitors.
The ward retains a strong Welsh-speaking, rural character: the local economy leans on agriculture, small businesses and seasonal tourism, while maritime traditions such as the lifeboat service remain important in coastal villages. Historic sites like the Iron Age settlement at Din Lligwy and several medieval churches add archaeological and cultural interest to an otherwise quiet, close-knit community.
