Taff's Well is a suburban ward in Rhondda Cynon Taf, sitting where the River Taff cuts through the foothills beneath the distinctive Garth. It is best known for its natural thermal spring - the only one in Wales - which gave the village a Victorian spa reputation and still draws visitors to the spring house and nearby riverside walks.
Historically the area expanded with coal and railway development, and today the ward mixes local shops, sports clubs and commuter households, with a station on the Merthyr Line providing easy access to Cardiff. Residents enjoy a balance of suburban living and countryside recreation, with popular walking and cycling routes on the surrounding hills and an active community life.
